YWCA ALLIANCE CELEBRATES 100 YEARS

Who We Are

At YWCA Alliance, our mission has always been clear: eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. For decades, that mission has guided everything we do; From the programs we offer to the people we welcome through our doors, we believe that when individuals are supported, families grow stronger, and when families grow stronger, the whole community rises with them.

We proudly serve the greater Alliance area as a trusted resource for those navigating life's challenges. Whether someone needs emergency support, access to vital services, or simply a safe and welcoming place to turn, YWCA Alliance is here. Our programs are designed to meet people where they are — without judgment, without barriers, and with genuine care for every person who walks through our doors.

Our Programs

Meals On Wheels

Meals on Wheels is a home delivery meal service that provides seniors with hot, nutritious meals daily.

In order to qualify, must be aged 60+, cannot drive or safely prepare meals for oneself, and reside in Alliance or Sebring.

We also have two congregate meal sites for residents of Alliance Towers and Hart Apartments who are age 60+.

Transitional Housing

Transitional housing is affordable housing provided for those working towards permanent housing. Our transitional housing program is targeted toward people escaping drug or alcohol abuse, domestic violence, homelessness, or financial instability. It is not an emergency shelter or permanent housing, but an affordable outreach to aid those in need of regaining financial stability and responsibility. Our program is currently only available to women (children up to 18 months also permitted) who are employed or actively searching for employment.

Fashion Boutique

The Fashion Boutique provides resources to assist in securing or sustaining employment by providing job appropriate career/work clothing.

Both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories.

This program aims to correct temporary emergencies and support long term strategy (employment) to avert additional emergencies caused by lack of a job.

All items are priced between $0.50–$2.00.
