YWCA Transitional Housing
This year marks YWCA Alliance’s 100 years of providing our neighbors who are employed women and their children in Alliance with a safe, affordable place to live while offering services and resources to help them reach financial stability, overcome emotional, social and physical barriers, with the overall goal of helping them achieve self-sufficiency.
YWCA Alliance Transitional Housing includes two housing facilities. The historic building located downtown can accommodate six single women, while Donna Jean’s House, a generous gift from the estate of Donna Jean Ermlick opened in 2024, can house up to five families and four single women. Each neighbor is provided with a private bedroom and access to shared common areas that includes a lounge, laundry, bathroom, and kitchen at a low cost for up to 18 months.
