YWCA Alliance is on a Mission
YWCA Alliance is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. Since the YWCA USA’s founding in 1858, we have been at the forefront of the most critical gender and racial social movements.
In 1926, the YWCA Alliance joined our sisters across the country in pursuit of a world where peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all prevails. Rooted in a history rich in service, we continue to champion women and girls. We focus on three key areas:
- equipping youth for the future,
- economic advancement,
- and the health and safety of seniors.
In addition, the YWCA Alliance operates a food service component. We also serve as a gathering place for local clubs and groups.
With the help of the community, we offer a blessing box. Community members can stop by anytime. They take what they need or leave what they have to share.
We are a welcoming non-profit 501(c)3 that serves around 1000 community members annually.
